Surrey Youth Games Fair Play Trophy

A message from Craig Alford, Surrey Heath Community Development Assistant...

Surrey Heath have been awarded the 'Fair Play Trophy' which is awarded to the borough or district which receives the most nominations across all of the sports. At each event the referees and organisers nominate a borough who have shown outstanding sportsmanship and fair play, and these nominations across each sport are totalled up to decide the Fair Play Trophy standings.

The Badminton U14 category received a nomination and as you can see from the below email and the attached picture, the Surrey Heath badminton has stood out.

Thank you for all of your help coaching over the last few months as well as your work over the Surrey Youth Games weekend, myself and Surrey Heath Borough Council really appreciate it. Not only have the badminton team played to the best of their ability and come a long way since the start, they are also showing great attitude and sportsmanship which is a credit to you all.

Thank you for all of your help once again.
